Arteche Gas-Insulated Voltage Transformer Commissioning - Dongara, WA

We recently had the opportunity to commission and gas-fill an Arteche gas-insulated voltage transformer while working alongside the team at HV Power Services at the RSGx site in Dongara, Western Australia.

These voltage transformers play a critical role in providing accurate voltage measurement and protection signals for high-voltage substations, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the electrical network. Unlike traditional oil-filled transformers, gas-insulated units offer a cleaner, more compact solution with reduced maintenance requirements and a lower environmental risk associated with oil leaks.

Our scope involved carefully gas-filling the transformer to the manufacturer's specified pressure, carrying out the required checks, and assisting with the commissioning process to ensure the unit was ready for service. Precision is essential during this stage, as the correct gas pressure and thorough testing are vital for long-term performance and reliability.

It's always rewarding to work with quality equipment from manufacturers like Arteche and to be involved in projects that help strengthen Australia's power infrastructure. A big thanks to HV Power Services for the opportunity to be part of another successful installation.

We're proud to continue delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality high-voltage commissioning services across Western Australia.
